What to expect:

• Water Safety Basics

• Stroke Development

• Student Assessment

• Progress Tracking

• Structured Play Time

Skill Exploration:

• Water Newbie: water safety basics, water acclimation, submersion, breath control, floating

• Beginner: flutter kicks, freestyle stroke, backstroke, underwater exploration, treading water

• Intermediate Swimmer: refining stroke techniques, breast stroke, butterfly stoke, basic diving techniques

What to Bring

• Swimsuit

• Towel

• Swim Goggles (If participant is not comfortable opening their eyes under water, I recommend you wear swim goggles)

• Swim Cap (Swim caps are recommended to avoid hair from blocking the participants face while swimming).

What not to Bring: Swim shoes in the water, goggles that cover the nose

Infant/Toddler Swim Diaper Policy: To ensure a clean and healthy environment for all swimmers, I enforce the following swim diaper policy:

• All children who are not fully potty-trained must wear a swim diaper. This includes any child who may have occasional accidents.

• For potty-trained children:

  • A snug-fitting, reusable swim diaper designed to contain solids is acceptable.

  • Disposable swim diapers are not required, but may be used for additional security if desired by the parent/guardian.

I'm Lindiwe Famodou (pronounced: LIN-dee-way FAH-much-doo), a swim instructor with 10 + years of experience and a passion for helping individuals of all ages discover the many benefits of water. My lessons are all about creating a structured, fun and personalized learning environment where students can learn and grow with confidence.
